In addition to Janice, who portrays the young wizard Billie, in the series, Disney brought back OG originals, Selena Gomez (Alex Russo) and David Henrie (Justin Russo). In an exclusive interview with JustJaredJr.com, Janice told the outlet that Gomez and Henrie made the set feel “welcoming”.

“At first [I felt intimidated working with them], yes, ’cause I wasn’t really sure, obviously, I didn’t really know them, but they just kind of made it so welcoming and safe for me to just be myself.”

“They just kind of, in a way, took all the pressure off, if that makes sense,” she continued. “They made me feel like I don’t have to be perfect. They just kind of told me to just be myself, how I think Billie is, just become Billie, and when I become Billie, that’s how it’s supposed to be. Don’t try to worry about pleasing other people and to just be myself. So, they made it very safe enough for me to just have fun.”

She concluded, “So, I would say it was intimidating at first, but the moment I met them, I immediately felt safe.”
