Reality TV couple Mendeecees Harris and Yandy Smith took to Instagram Live recently to chat about their latest hustle—making serious money on Snapchat—and to share some laughs about their lives in the public eye. The Love & Hip Hopstars opened up about their experience with monetizing content on social media and didn’t hold back when it came to discussing internet critics and viral moments.

Right from the start, Mendeecees joked that he was “in trouble” for promoting his Snapchat, prompting Yandy to playfully respond, “Who you in trouble with? The internet police?” Laughing off any so-called backlash, Mendeecees quickly turned the conversation toward the real reason he’s so active on Snapchat: the money.

“Anybody that’s monetizing on Snap knows that money ain’t different. That money’s more… car notes? Mortgage?” he said, hinting that Snapchat offers better earnings for creators compared to platforms like YouTube and Instagram. For Mendeecees, Snapchat isn’t just about sharing his life—it’s a real source of income. He encouraged viewers to follow his Snapchat for exclusive content, emphasizing how much better the returns are compared to other platforms.

Yandy also chimed in, asking fans to follow her on Snapchat as well. “Follow me on Snap. It’s Yandy S Harris,” she shared, with Mendeecees joking that she was just looking for a shout-out. The couple had a lighthearted back-and-forth, with Yandy teasing Mendeecees about wanting her to join his live videos just to boost his own following.

For Yandy and Mendeecees, social media isn’t just a place to connect with fans but also a smart business move. Yandy pointed out that it’s all about “verification and monetization,” and both stars are clearly focused on maximizing their presence on Snapchat to bring in additional revenue.

In a funny moment during the live, Mendeecees shared a story about a viral video that recently circulated, showing a woman dancing and twerking after realizing she was being recorded without her knowledge. Many fans thought the woman in the video was Yandy, but Mendeecees clarified that it wasn’t her.

“I knew it was going to get views, but I didn’t know people thought it was me. It’s not me, that’s not me, alright?” Yandy said, laughing about the mix-up. The couple revealed that being in the public eye means constantly dealing with fans secretly recording them, but they’ve learned to take it in stride, sometimes even turning those moments into fun memories.
