American Pickers star Frank Fritz’s cause of death has been revealed over one week on from his death.
The TV presenter would drive around the US looking for antiques and collectibles to buy and resell on the reality show.
He died last Monday night at a hospice facility in Davenport, Iowa at age 60, according to Annette Oberlander, a longtime friend.

Now, reports from TMZ claim that the star died as a result of a stroke.
The outlet claims to have obtained his death certificate, which lists the cause of death as “late sequela of cerebral infarction.”
TMZ claims the document says the stroke was a result of cerebral vascular disease, which refers to “a group of conditions that affect blood flow and the blood vessels in the brain,” according to The University of Michigan health.

The certificate also says Fritz suffered from aortic stenosis, which thickens and narrows the valve between the heart’s main pumping chamber, as well as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), a common lung disease leading to restricted airflow and breathing problems.
Both conditions played a role in his death, the outlet reports as per the death certificate.
Fritz was remembered by his American Pickers co-star Mike Wolfe, who was also at his side as the presenter took his last breath.

“The same off camera as he was on, Frank had a way of reaching the hearts of so many by just being himself,” Wolfe said an Instagram post mourning the loss of his friend.
“I’ve [known] Frank for more [than] half my life and what you’ve seen on TV has always been what I have seen, a dreamer who was just as sensitive as he was funny.
Wolfe starred with Fritz for more than a decade on the History Channel program.
