Sir Elton John has stepped out at a screening of his new documentary following his recent health battle.
John couldn’t seem to wipe the smile from his face as he walked the red carpet at the London Film Festival for a screening of Never Too Late, the new musical documentary looking back at his extraordinary life and career.
He was joined at the event by his husband, David Furnish, and his godson, Damian Hurley.

John rocked his signature look, teaming a pair of black square sunglasses and a tan suit with a pink pinstripe shirt, while Furnish supported him in a suave black suit over a grey turtleneck.
Just last month, the Rocket Man singer opened up about his health, sharing that he had been battling a serious infection.
In a statement shared on Instagram John wrote, “Over the summer, I’ve been dealing with a severe eye infection that has unfortunately left me with only limited vision in one eye.”

The musician said the infection was improving, but it was proving to be a slow process.
“It will take some time before sight returns to the impacted eye,” he shared.
“I am so grateful for the excellent team of doctors and nurses and my family, who have taken such good care of me over the last several weeks.
“I have been quietly spending the summer recuperating at home, and am feeling positive about the progress I have made in my healing and recovery thus far.”

The film premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 6, and is set to hit streaming service Disney+ on December 13.
