Australia is the latest stop on Rodrigo’s wildly popular world tour, which has already made its way across the US, Europe and – for the first time ever – the Philippines.

Similar to Taylor Swift’s friendship bracelets and era-themed costumes, Rodrigo’s tour has its own unspoken dress code and some iconic interactive moments throughout.

What to wear to the Guts World Tour

Olivia Rodrigo

Aussies, get ready to don your best plaid and sparkles to see Olivia Rodrigo.

The pop star has a 2000s-inspired grunge style she has become known for in her music videos and her costumes.

On the Guts World Tour, the singer wears lots of sparkly outfits, with everything from matching crop top and shorts sets to metallic bodysuits.

Purple is often associated with Rodrigo’s brand given both her album covers use the colour in the background.

So if you’re looking for something to guarantee being on theme, incorporate some purple and butterflies or stars – both motifs she’s become known for – into your look.

If you’re stuck on what shoes to wear, fear not: Rodrigo’s go-to shoes are Doc Martens.

A pair of lace-up black Doc Martens with some sparkly sheer or fishnet tights is an easy way to dress like Rodrigo for the show.

For a throwback to her Sour era, buy a plaid mini skirt. Rodrigo wore the pattern in her Good 4 U music video and on the Sour World Tour.

Rodrigo’s tour is for her second studio album Guts, so expect to hear many of the tracks from her latest album.

But don’t worry, the setlist is packed with some of Rodrigo’s original hits from her debut album Sour, including the song that skyrocketed her to fame: Drivers License.

Here’s every song that Rodrigo sings on the Guts World Tour:

  • bad idea, right?
  • ballad of a homeschooled girl
  • vampire
  • traitor
  • drivers license
  • teenage dream
  • pretty isn’t pretty
  • love is embarrassing
  • making the bed
  • logical
  • enough for you

  • happier
  • favorite crime
  • deja vu
  • the grudge
  • brutal
  • obsessed

You Can’t Catch Me Now is an original song by Rodrigo for The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes soundtrack.

Rodrigo’s song So American is from the deluxe version of Guts and is speculated by fans to be a love song about her current boyfriend, actor Louis Partridge.

Some fun fan ‘traditions’ to know

Rodrigo’s show has some fun interactive moments during certain songs that, if you learn, will make the concert experience that much more entertaining.

One of these is a ‘mute challenge’ in her opening song Bad Idea, Right?

In a later verse Rodrigo sing: “Now I’m gettin’ in the car, wreckin’ all my plans/ I know I should stop-, but I can’t.”

During her Guts World Tour performance, after Rodrigo sings “I know I should stop”, she halts the music. This is when the audience should go completely quiet for a few seconds before the song picks up with the next lyric, “but I can’t”.

Another trend fans have been jumping on is learning the official choreography for Rodrigo’s performance of Love is Embarrassing.

How long does the Olivia Rodrigo concert last?

If the US and European legs are anything to go by, Rodrigo’s Aussie shows should run for around an hour and a half.

According to Ticketek, the Australian shows have a start time of 7:30, with doors opening in both Melbourne and Sydney at 6:00pm.

This will be when Rodrigo’s support act, New Zealand singer Benee starts her set.

According to concert-goers on Reddit, the support act runtime for previous shows was about half an hour from 7:30 to 8:00pm.

Rodrigo then takes the stage at around 8:30pm and wraps up at roughly 10:00pm.

Concert times may not be exactly the same for Australian shows. We’ll find out opening night in Melbourne on Wednesday!
