NBA G League star R.J. Hampton is making headlines following a tense argument with his ex-girlfriend Tiffany Jeffcoat that has gone viral.
The confrontation, which took place in front of their 13-month-old baby boy, Halo, was shared by Jeffcoat, a social media influencer with millions of TikTok followers.
In the video, captioned, “You travel 11 hours with a baby so your bd [baby daddy] can see his son,” Hampton is seen asking Jeffcoat to stop talking to him.
“I don’t care if you got me on recording. I could care less,” Hampton says in the video.
The argument quickly escalates, with Hampton voicing concerns about their co-parenting relationship.
He states, “What I am afraid of, because of who you are, is me taking him and you fighting him off of me, [saying] ‘Oh, my God, you are abusing me.’”
Jeffcoat counters his claim by referencing past incidents, stating, “First of all, you have put hands on me before.”
The 6-foot-4 basketball player the retorts, “Get the f–k outta here with that stupid s-t.”
The exchange becomes even more contentious as Jeffcoat mentions having pictures of bruises allegedly left by Hampton. He brushes off her concerns, arguing that no one was “going to care.”
“But they came from your hands,” she replies to which he says, “Of course they did. Did I punch you? Did I slap you? So shut the f–k up!”
Jeffcoat retaliates, “Just because you didn’t punch me doesn’t mean that’s OK. Wow.”
In another post, Jeffcoat shared that she was left stranded in Oklahoma without a hotel or transportation after Hampton alegedly took their son.
“R.J. literally snatched Halo off the ground, walked out, hopped in the car and left,” she claimed. “Didn’t tell me where they were going … didn’t take back any of his stuff. He’s not allowed to do that.”
Jeffcoat later shared on her Instagram story that Hampton had returned their son in time for bed. Along with a photo of Halo sleeping, she added a note of gratitude: “Thanks to everyone who reached out.”
