A high-profile New York attorney has confirmed to Court TV that Tupac Shakur’s family has hired him to investigate potential links between the rapper’s 1996 murder and Sean “Diddy” Combs. The attorney, Alex Spiro, known for representing high-profile clients such as Alec Baldwin, will now dig into allegations that Combs may have been involved in one of the most infamous unsolved murders in hip-hop history.

Combs, currently facing serious charges including sexual assault, rape, and human trafficking, has long been the subject of speculation regarding Tupac’s murder in Las Vegas. While Duane “Keefe D” Davis was recently arrested and charged in connection with Shakur’s death, he previously pointed the finger at Combs, accusing him of orchestrating the crime. A detective also testified that Marion “Suge” Knight Jr., who was injured in the same shooting, allegedly claimed that Combs was “responsible, if not directly, indirectly for the murder of his good friend.”

With the recent charges against Combs, public interest has reignited, and other rappers have spoken out about his alleged involvement. Eminem, in his new song “Fuel,” makes references to both Tupac and Notorious B.I.G.’s murders, hinting at Combs’ connection to the violence. This isn’t the first time Eminem has raised suspicions; back in 2018’s “Killshot,” he alluded to Diddy’s alleged role in Tupac’s killing.

Despite these accusations, Combs has consistently denied any involvement in Shakur’s murder. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department has also stated that Combs has “never been considered a suspect” in the case.
