Halle Bailey and DDG have broken up after over two years of dating.
The news of the 26-year-old rapper and the 24-year-old actress’s separation was announced via social media.
The pair’s relationship became public in 2022 and they welcomed their first child, a son named Halo, earlier this year.

DDG shared a statement to announce the news to his 6 million Instagram followers:
“After much reflection and heartfelt conversations, Halle and I have decided to go our separate ways.

“This decision was not easy, but we believe it’s the best path forward for both of us. I cherish the time we’ve spent together and the love we’ve shared.
“Despite the change in our relationship, our love for each other remains deep and true,” The rapper wrote.
“We are still best friends and adore each other. As we focus on our individual journeys and our roles as co-parents, we cherish the bond we’ve built and the beautiful moments we’ve shared.
“As we navigate this transition, we ask for your understanding and support.
The statement concluded: “Thank you for your love and encouragement.”

Bailey is yet to comment on the situation publicly.
The Little Mermaid star and DDG, whose real name is Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr., have been dating since March 2022, when they went Instagram official.
In January of this year, the couple announced they had welcomed their first child via Instagram.
“Even though we’re a few days into the new year, the greatest thing that 2023 could have done for me, was bring me my son…” she said in her post.
“Welcome to the world my halo 🥰👼🏽 ✨,” Bailey said.
She added, regarding persistent rumours that she was pregnant, “The world is desperate to know you.”
