Chrisean Rock took to Instagram today to celebrate her son, Chrisean Jesus Porter’s first birthday, albeit a few weeks late.

Sharing photos from a belated celebration, the reality star captioned, “BelatedBirthdayBlessings! Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.’ – James 1:17. Your first year has been a gift we unwrap daily. Here’s to celebrating you today, and every day, for the unique blessing you are.”

Chrisean’s son, Chrisean Jr., officially celebrated his first birthday on September 3, 2023, but neither of his parents were present for the occasion due to legal troubles.

While Blueface remains incarcerated, Chrisean was released from jail shortly after her son’s birthday. Since her release, she has been on a journey of spiritual transformation, sharing glimpses of this new path with her followers.

“Embracing a new life and walking in purity is a beautiful journey, one that reflects the transformative power of God’s love and grace,” she wrote in a recent Instagram post.

“As you continue to shine brightly in your purity, remember that it’s a reflection of God’s work within you, drawing you closer to Him and to the life He has envisioned for you.”

In addition to her spiritual growth, Chrisean has made changes in her personal life, including altering her son’s name.

Initially named Chrisean Jesus Malone Jr., she recently revealed via X (formerly Twitter) that she dropped the “Junior” suffix and changed his last name to Porter in honor of his father, rapper Blueface (Jonathan Jamall Porter).

“Chrisean Jesus Porter is his name. It isn’t Jr. anymore, just letting y’all know thanks,” she shared.

During an interview with Pastor Jamal Bryant, Chrisean explained the significance behind her son’s middle name, “Jesus,” stating that “his name is his strength as well.”

She also discussed her choice to remove “Junior” and how God’s knowledge of our names makes nicknames unnecessary, as “God has our name engraved in his palm.”
