Riley Keough has vowed to look after Graceland – and preserve the legacy of her family and grandfather, Elvis Presley.

The actress, 35, who is the daughter of the late Lisa Marie Presley, has spoken about owning the famous mansion – after a company tried to sell the home in a public auction.

She told People in an interview published this week: “My hope is to continue what my grandmother [Priscilla Presley] did, and then my mother did, which is simply to preserve our family home.”

She also spoke about finishing her late mother’s memoir and told the publication she hopes her mother can be seen as a ”three-dimensional human being”.

“The best mother, a wild child, a fierce friend, an underrated artist, frank, funny, traumatised, joyous, grieving – everything that she was throughout her remarkable life,” she said.

“I want to give voice to my mother in a way that eluded her while she was alive.”

Upon her mother’s death, Keough became the owner of the Memphis mansion and the trustee of the Promenade Trust.

Keough claimed in a lawsuit that a company’s recent bid to sell Graceland was a fraudulent scheme. The company had claimed a loan using the mansion as collateral was not repaid. The foreclosure sale was reportedly blocked by a judge.

It came after Keough had a legal debate with her grandmother Priscilla Presley over her mum’s trust.

Keough previously penned a candid post about her late mother on Instagram, writing underneath a flashback photograph: “Lucky to have had the best and most deeply loving mama I could have asked for.”
