Katy Perry has rocked the MCG with a stunning performance of her greatest hits, starting with her song Roar at the 2024 AFL Grand Final.
“Where’s all my Swans at?” she asked the crowd who began cheering, before she asked them “Where’s all my Lions at?”
The singer rode a futuristic-looking vehicle around the grounds that featured a tail of fabric that billowed in the wind.

Her dress was equally futuristic, with the white fabric being paired with a metal corset, and the star wearing wrap-around silver sunglasses.
But it turns out that the outfit had a twist, with the singer shedding the dress portion to unveil that the corset was in fact a top that she paired with some unique white cargo pants, as she demounted the vehicle and began performing her song Dark Horse.
As she sang, she and her orange-clad backup dancers climbed up the spiral platform before she launched into her recent song Gorgeous, complete with more AI robotic arms on all four sides of the stadium swinging around.

The crowd then got hyped up when they heard her 2010 song California Gurls. Dancers on each side held up metallic balloons in a spectacular display on the sunny Melbourne day.
“I think you know this one!” she said, before launching into her 2010 hit, Teenage Dream, as the dancers below created circular moving displays.
But that’s not all. The singer brought out guitarists to perform her 2008 song I Kissed A Girl, but just as she reached the chorus she shouted out, “Please welcome Tina Arena!”

The Aussie legend rose from the stage wearing a silver sequined outfit and the pair stood back to back as they finished off the song.
Perry then repaid the honour by performing a duet of Arena’s song I’m In Chains, telling the crowd, “Come on, Australia, I know you know it, so sing it!”
She thanked the Aussie singer, asking the crowd to “Make some noise for Tina Arena!”
This performance is Arena’s first since revealing she was suffering from health complications.

The singer then continued on with one of her newer songs Lifetimes, jumping on the stage as a rainbow AI wormhole opened up above the performers.
She then told the crowd, “AFL, thank you so much for having me today! May God bless you! I’m Katy Perry!”
As she sang her final song, Firework, as fireworks shot into the sky. She ended her song pointing into the sky and telling the crowd, “Have a great game tonight! I love you, Australia!”

The American singer was the highly-anticipated headliner for the 2024 AFL Grand Final for months.
It was heavily debated whether the singer would sing her hit song, Roar, on the Aussie stage, with some fans even claiming that it would give the Brisbane Lions an unfair advantage over the Sydney Swans.
“I can’t believe it, all I know is go Lions, go Swans,” the singer told Today.

“My stylist is from Sydney and she has been whispering in my ear, ‘just say Swans, Swans, Swans’ and I’m like, well, but what about Brissy? like, that’s where the party is, you can’t let those people down,” she said.
“They’ll take it, I know they’ll be like, ‘where’s the Swans song?’, but I don’t know, I’m claiming Switzerland,” the singer said, remaining neutral.
