For years before she went public with her endometriosis journey, Bindi Irwin relied on her family to get her through her darkest days, especially husband Chandler Powell.

He was been one of her biggest supporters, second only perhaps to mum Terri Irwin, as she endured crippling symptoms for years in secret and without answers.

“He has held my hand when I’ve been at my lowest and never once wavered,” Bindi told 9honey Celebrity.

“One of the reasons I fell in love with Chandler was because he is the most steadfast person I have ever met. No matter what happens, he is strong, steady and above all, kind.”

When Bindi was finally diagnosed in her 20s and underwent surgery in 2023, Chandler was with her every step of the way.

When she shared her experiences with the world, Chandler called her his “inspiration”. Bindi feels the same way about him.

“It’s the best feeling to have a partner who you love so much and can rely on through all of the ups and downs of life.”

Bindi is endlessly grateful for all the ways Chandler has supported her through their relationship, from her endometriosis to their journey as young parents.

After marrying in 2020, the couple welcomed daughter Grace Warrior Irwin Powell in 2021.

Born on their first wedding anniversary, she’s brought Bindi unimaginable joy – not just because women with endometriosis can struggle to fall pregnant, but because it gave Bindi the chance to see Chandler embrace fatherhood.

“It’s like he was always meant to be a dad,” she says.

“Watching him with Grace has been so special, he rises to every challenge as a parent and is also the most fun person to be around.

“Whether he is taking Grace to feed our kangaroos or jumping in for her swim lessons, he’s present with everything.”

Grace, three, has been going since she was a baby and there’s nothing more beautiful to Bindi than seeing her husband and daughter, surrounded by family, in a place that meant so much to her dad.
