Wayne Brady, the talented host of Let’s Make a Deal, is opening up about future children.

During an appearance on The Talk, the father of two shared that after welcoming a surprise child with his ex-girlfriend, he is seriously considering getting a vasectomy.

Brady joked about the idea while promoting his family’s new reality series, Wayne Brady: The Family Remix, alongside his daughter Maile Brady, his ex-wife Mandie Taketa, and her husband Jason Fordham.

“Yeah. Look, I’ve already got two [kids]. I’m 52. I’m not Moses or somebody from the Bible that needs to go forth. Nope. I’m done. In fact, I should schedule an appointment right after the show,” the father-of-two said.

The conversation took a light-hearted turn when Maile encouraged her father to follow through with it, advising him to take a “self-care weekend” for the procedure.

Brady shares his daughter Maile, 21, with ex-wife, Taketa. The multifaceted entertainer shares son, Val Henry, born in 2022, with ex-girlfriend Tina. Brady revealed he was initially “shocked” by the news of Val’s birth but is committed to being a loving father to both of his children.

“When I first found out … I was floored,” Brady said at the time about how he felt in the moment. “A 51-year-old dad? I didn’t see it coming. So was I happy? No. Because I was in shock.” He emphasized the importance of ensuring that Val knows that he is wanted and cherished.

In July of this year, Brady told People Magazine, “I never want Val to grow up thinking that he should be ashamed or look back and go, ‘Oh, my dad didn’t want me,’ or he was ashamed of me,” he said. “Because I want him, in his own way, to know that I love him as much as I love Maile, who is of me and that I had a part in creating. So I had to do that work.”

Taketa was extremely concerned about her ex-husband’s “mental well-being” when he received the news of Val’s impending birth. She said at the time that, “It was a struggle to begin with. And so it was that on top of everything. I mean, we had just come back from mom’s funeral together and then this news was dropped, and so that’s my first concern was just weighing his health.”
