South Korean girl group aespa team up with avant-garde electronic recording artist Grimes to release a brand new remix of their addictive summer banger ‘Supernova’.

Filled with a plethora of pristine, multi-layered vocals and sweeping, celestial synths, Grime’s reimagined version of the irrepressible pop bop features on the aespa’s latest EP ‘iScreaM Vol.33: Supernova / Armageddon Remixes’ – which is available to download / stream via SM Entertainment and Virgin Records now.

Commenting on the remix, Grimes said on ‘X’ (formerly Twitter): “I normally don’t do remixes but I could not resist messing with this acapella even though the original production on this song is undefeatable. I went back to cyber twee for this… it’s very Grimesy.”

Upon its release earlier this year, ‘Supernova’ spent an impressive 15 consecutive weeks at No.1 on major Korean music platforms Melon and Genie, even setting a new record on Melon for the longest-running number one in the platform’s history, surpassing a milestone that had been in place since its launch in November 2004.

Featured alongside ‘Supernova’ on the groups new EP are refresh remixes of ‘Armageddon’ by Flava D, and fast-rising Korean DJ/producers 2Spade and Mount XLR.
