AFL star Josh Daicos and his new fiancée Annalise Dalins are still riding the high of their recent engagement while on a holiday in Greece.
Dalins has said she was completely surprised by the proposal but it turns out she was the only one in the dark about Daicos’ holiday proposal plans.
Speaking this morning Nova 100’s Jase & Lauren, the model revealed that everyone in her family were waiting for the call.

“So everyone knew,” Dalins revealed.
“So Josh even asked my family for permission. It was beautiful but they were over the moon.”
While Daicos and Dalins enjoyed their time in Greece, their family awaited the call knowing a proposal was on its way.

“Like every day, everyone was waiting because he waited like two weeks into our trip to do it. I don’t know how he was so calm and kept it a secret,” she said.
“I think some people might have thought we had a fight or something,” she added. “They’re like, ‘When’s the day coming?'”
“But yeah, everyone was so excited. Like every day that would go past his family were like ‘oh my god, another day’s passed, come on Josh.”

Host Lauren Phillips chimed in sharing that “they’re a beautiful family to be marrying into” and Dalins couldn’t agree more.
“Yeah I feel very lucky. They both play big parental roles in my life,” she shared.
While friends and family at home knew it was coming, the actual proposal was a private affair which Dalins found “very special”.
“He actually did it privately, which I was like, I love, like it was so special,” he said. “He told me we were going to a restaurant, but I thought we were going to celebrate my uni graduation because we missed out on my ceremony here in Melbourne, and before I knew it, he was saying all these beautiful words, the most beautiful things anyone has ever said to me.”
“It’s just been crazy,” she added.
“I think we still haven’t come to terms with it in the best way. But, yeah, it will be really fun sharing it with all his teammates as well tonight.”

The whirlwind engagement excitement comes ahead of tonight’s Brownlow Medal, which the pair will be attending together.
Daicos’ brother Nick Daicos is in the running for the esteemed honour.
“We’re just excited to be by his side and share the night with him and cheer him on,” Dalins said of the occasion.
