Lizzo has candidly shut down rumours she uses Ozempic for weight loss.
The singer, 36, addressed comments speculation she had taken the prescription medication to lose weight, despite it being intended for people with type 2 diabetes.
Taking to social media, Lizzo shared a carousel post on Instagram of herself smiling alongside the text: “When you finally get Ozempic allegations after five months of weight training and [a] calorie deficit.”

Lizzo has always been open about her health and fitness, as her job is incredibly physically demanding.
In a May TikTok post, the Truth Hurts singer shared some insight into her diet and exercise routines, adding that she wasn’t focusing on “trying to escape the fatness.”
Instead, Lizzo revealed she “started working out for mental health” and that her wellness journey has improved her mindset.
“I have a very high-performance job,” the star explained.

“For 90 minutes a night, I have to do choreography, I have to sing, I have to dance, I have to rap and I have to play the flute.
“And I have to emote, and hype a crowd in very tight clothes, sometimes clothes where it restricts my breathing.”
“It’s fun. I love my job. But it takes a lot of physical endurance to do what I do, and I used to be very rockstar lifestyle, used to throw myself around on the stage,” Lizzo added.
“As I got more professional in my career, I started to take the physical part more seriously.”
