Fresh from receiving its first radio play on BBC Radio 1’s Future Pop Show on Wednesday evening, British recording artist Lo Lauren today (August 30th) shares her brand new single ‘Wonder’ – a super melodic, summery pop bop, that looks set further cement the rising stars status as one of the UK’s most promising new talents.
Driven by the singers signature sugar-sweet vocals, and lyrically reflective of her personal desire to move past any negative thoughts or debilitating ‘what if’s?’, the irresistibly catchy, upbeat track serves as the first song to be released from Lo’s debut EP ‘Wanderlust’, which is expected to drop early next year.
Describing the single, Lauren says: “If this song was a sweet, it would be popping candy! Fizzy, exciting and nostalgic. It’s an ode to every ‘could’ve been’ throughout my life; the exes, the flings, the strangers on the tube… and a song in which your imagination can run wild with possibilities. It’s longing for an alternative reality where they’re no longer the one that got away, no longer the one who was almost yours. I truly, madly, deeply love ‘Wonder’ and it was one of those magical songs that wrote itself in about 10 minutes at the end of a really long, tiring day – a reminder to keeeeep going!”

Hailed by CelebMix as being one of eight artists to watch in 2024, Lo Lauren has spent much of the last year developing her own unique sonic identity.
With her unique brand of sophisticated pop garnering support from the likes of BBC Introducing… and Sir Elton John’s ‘Rocket Hour’, as well as respected music publications WONDERLAND and NOTION, to date the singer has amassed over 500k streams.
Her debut single ‘Never The One’ was seized by BBC Radio with Radio 1’s Mollie King giving it an incredible two spins on her ‘Future Pop’ show, and Maia Beth adding to that with her own. Fellow BBC presenter, Abbie McCarthy, made the song her ‘Track of the Week’ on BBC Introducing Kent and described it as pure “pop perfection”.
